I’m going to be upfront on this one and tell you that as a result of this months box, and those that I have previously reviewed, I have cancelled my subscription.  I just haven’t been that inspired by Birchbox compared to the other subscription boxes I have been receiving.  The packaging isn’t as nice, they don’t seem to take so much care over the contents.  I wasn’t that fussed over the contents this month and ultimately it’s the most expensive box I get.  So I cancelled the subscription this morning.

In the meantime let me show you the contents…

The theme this month is all to do with your star sign.  I’m aquarius so I got an air box.  Apparently it glows in the dark.

And what’s inside?

Loc eye stick – this is the full size version with an RRP of £8.  You can use this is an eyeliner or as a colour for your lid.

Rituals – The Ritual of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream – (sample size), RRP on full size is £19.50.  This is a body cream to be used daily.

Doux Me – Pure Spring Mist RRP for full size is £16, this is a Birchbox exclusive. (sample size)  Spray liberally on face prior to moisturising for a moment of calm…

Whish – Renewing Mud Mask RRP for full size £29.(sample size)   This is a mask that stays on for a maximum of 2 minutes.

Number 4 – Flouoro5 Elixir Restore and Repair Oil – RRP £18 for full size (sample size).  This is a hair oil that should nourish dull hair.  1-2 pumps to be applied through damp hair before styling

A Birchbox eyebrow brush.  RRP £1.99.  Does what it says on the tin.

My verdict, as you know, is that I have cancelled my subscription.  For such an expensive box, compared to the others, there is only one full size item, the choices aren’t that inspiring and I’m just not that excited about any of it.

Do you subscribe to the Birchbox?  What do you think?  I’ve had people tell me that they’re holding out for it to get better as it used to be really good.  I can’t afford to hold out any longer!
