It was my weekend to work at Upstairs Downstairs this weekend so I thought I would let you know a bit about it.

Upstairs Downstairs is an antiques centre in Faversham, Kent.  This is a lovely little town with a few nice places to shop for antiques as well as an eclectic mix of independent shops.  A quaint historic High Street and the famous Shepherd Neame brewery.

Upstairs Downstairs is a few steps from the High Street.  A draw to the locals is the lovely tea shop.  My personal favourite is the cheese and marmite toastie!

Upstairs Downstairs just celebrated its year anniversary.

We had a little staff party to celebrate the anniversary

The spread was fab!

The centre features a number of antique and vintage dealers.  There is quite a mix of stock to suit all tastes.

The stock changes weekly and popular items sell really quickly.  My 1960’s cocktail bar sold before I could photograph it!!!!!

It’s great working in an antiques centre.  I get to see what the trends are, learn about things I wouldn’t normally buy and chat about vintage.  The amount of Pyrex conversations I have!

Well worth a visit if not just for a pot of tea and a slice of cake (or cheese and marmite toastie!)

You’ll find Upstairs Downstairs at 88-90 West Street in Faversham, right by Morrisons.

They’re on Facebook too of course, Facebook

I work on Wednesday every week if you get the chance to pop in to chat Pyrex over a cheese and marmite toastie.
